“ The owner started out as the dishwasher. An opportunity came up and he became the new owner. Very clean, great prices & tasty food. A great restaurant to support. ”
“ My husband and I came out here for some breakfast, this place is about 40 mins from us but we wanted to try it out. We ordered 2 breakfast delight combos w/ a side of hash browns. The prices first of all were surprisingly reasonable. The waters came out quickly. I am picky about my water but it was really good, cold and the glasses were clean. Our server was very friendly and attentive but also gave time for my husband and I to just chat and enjoy each other’s company without being interrupted. The food was so good. I am so so happy the hash browns were not a soggy uncooked mess, instead they were crispy and delicious. The French toast was sooo good, I was surprised at the portion as well. The pancakes are huge! I will definitely be back! Well worth the drive ”
“ Nice little spot for breakfast or lunch! Our new go-to for a grocery shopping morning. Everything is cooked perfectly. I think my only complaint was no salsa with the breakfast burrito, that seems like it should be a requirement. Highly recommend Greenhouse Cafe either way. ”

“ The greenhouse cafe is pretty much the best place to go for breakfast in Placerville. Every time you walk in you're greeted with smiling faces and friendly servers. This restaurant has been a family favorite especially for my grandparents in recent years. The food is high quality too. You can tell that they use fresh ingredients. I highly recommend the pancakes! ”
“ Greenhouse Cafe embodies all the best things that a local neighborhood cafe offers... tasty food served by the nicest staff. The signature menu items that I absolutely find to be the best around is the turkey club sandwich and eggs benedict. For the sandwich they use real fresh roasted turkey. Ohh that makes a huge taste difference. The bacon is cooked to a perfect crispness, no rare edges and not burnt either. The egg benedict’s hollandaise sauce is fantastic. Smooth with a just right consistency and emulsification. Flavorful, buttery with oh so slight lemon taste. The eggs are poached to treat you to a show of egg ooziness when pierced. On days they are short staffed, they tape a sign on the front door indicating that and apologizing for the possible longer service times. In any given day, you’ll probably see Claudia, the owner, working. She has a great friendly demeanor. Another thing to note is the bathroom situation. It’s located around the corner of the cafe. To access it, you’ll need to ask for the key. It’s kept clean. ”

Even the "take out" service and food is one of a kind. The portions are appropriate and the food is always served hot and tasty. Patty Melt, French Fries, and extra pickles Are the way to go!!! ”
